Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
